Lovely update, Claudia. And look at that nook! I'd feel inspired to be writing in such a decluttered and zen space.

So are you on a long non-work break? I wish I could be doing the same. It'd be good to find some of that space in my mind. I'm hoping I can at least achieve that over the holidays for the next few weeks. Today's my last day of work and then I'm not back until mid-Jan!

Thanks, Nathan! The next step is to get a bit more zen with my digital activity as well.

I hope you're enjoying your first days off. What are your plans for the next weeks? Will you take it easy?

We’re off to Perth to see Jo’s sister and family, so a fairly big xmas family get-together. Back in January, and I’m not back to work until the 13th, so yay for break. Also planning something of a digital detox, too.

Are you going away over the holidays?

What a gorgeous nook.

Love hear the story of your writing journey, Claudia. Hope you are enjoying the Weihnachtsmärkte!

I didn’t go to a single Weihnachtsmarkt but this might change today! I need a globe or two for my improvised xmas tree (as I started eating the chocolate 🤣)

What a year! I'm glad your words flowed like sweet wine in the end & greatly enjoyed the stories & essays you shared with us. Looking forward to the next climate fiction installment!

As for me, the year in Japan has been a true rollercoaster of emotions, new friends, new experiences & learnings. I will probably write my own recap though so not saying too much here.

Wishing you a happy & fruitful 2025!

Thanks for the update, and all your hard work throughout the year to bring us so many fun and thought-provoking stories!

It's been so lovely meeting you and connecting with you both on Substack and off. It's been a struggle for me as a complete beginner, and having others who are a bit further along in their journey to look up to is immensely helpful.

Thank you for consistently liking and commenting on my posts and notes, it really means so much to me, and for letting me interview you, of course. That was so rewarding! I look forward to continuing to grow alongside you (from a distance) as a writer and Substacker.

Thanks, Shoni! I'm also happy that we met here, even though it's virtual and very grateful for that moment when you reached out for the interview.

I enjoy your free spirit and the energy you bring to your Substack. It's easy going, playful, sometimes kinky, and always creative. You have the ability to give tough topics a lighthearted twist which I feel comes from a kindness that we all need for ourselves and the world.

I’m excited for your upcoming series, Claudia. The two serial novels I’m following are winding down soon. As for the new year, I’ve been readying my own novel to serialize. It’s time! It’ll begin in mid-January. Squeeeee! 🤗

Hi Julie, this mini series is a stand alone story but it's part of There Is Hope. If you have the time, I would recommend to start from the beginning with Human Island.

I'm excited about your serialized novel! 👏 Let's do it!
